MDA Locum or PRN - Lehigh Hospital

ANESTHESIA NEEDS:  Shifts - 7a-5p weekdays
Beeper Call - 5p-7a Monday-Friday unrestricted call
7a-7a weekends with unrestricted call
Infrequent weeknight callback, occasional weekend cases. Callback and late days more frequent during season.

SITE DETAILS:
Lehigh Hospital in Lehigh Acres FL is looking for both FT and PRN general anesthesia MD's to cover up to 12 full weeks per year
MD's will supervise during weekday elective hours and work own cases after coming down to one room at the end of weekday CRNA shifts. MD's will work own cases on weekends.
1 MD will supervise 2-3 CRNA's on weekdays. MD owns cases after weekday shifts and on weekends.
Orientation can be done either prior to or on first shift.
Facility systems include Medaxion, Meditech, Pyxis, GE Aisys
Beds - 88
Census - 70% capacity during season, 40% off season
DPV - varies depending on season, 5-15 cases daily, greater on endo days
Not a trauma center. Cases are mostly General, General Robotic, Vascular, GI Endoscopy, Non-elective Orthopedic, Minor Neuro.
3 OR's, 1 Endo room
Support staff - 3 surg techs, 2-3 circulating nurses, 1 charge nurse and 1 on site director

ACLS, BLS, PALS
